Martin, he's the man! The classic 1992 sitcom joins Dabl, starting with an October 5 marathon

Get ready for an exciting addition to Dabl's schedule of classic '90s and '00s Black sitcoms and dramas. Martin is joining Dabl and on October 5, we're kicking things off with Dabl's Get into Martin Marathon. It features the legendary comedian Martin Lawrence in his popular role as Martin Payne, the WZUP radio show host who eventually got his own talk show.

Starting October 6, you can catch the 1992 sitcom on Dabl every day at 8P | 7C and 8A | 7C; you'll never want to miss an episode of the hilarious antics of Martin and his crew.

When we first met Martin Payne, we all thought, "he's a little guy with a lot of mouth." His quick comebacks were always a hit, especially when he clashed with Gina's best friend, Pam. Oh, and don't disagree with him, because you can, "Get to steppin'!" Martin, along with his crew —the gullible but loyal Cole (Carl Anthony Payne) and the jobless Tommy (Thomas Mikal Ford) — always managed to stir up trouble.

Together, Martin, Cole, and Tommy were a strong-bonded trio, with Cole and Tommy often finding themselves in the middle of Martin's schemes. Gina (Tisha Campbell), Martin's talented girlfriend with a big head (running joke in the series), and her fashionable best friend Pam (Tichina Arnold), who never let Martin get away with disrespect, added to the comedic chaos.

Throughout the sitcom's five-season run, Lawrence played recurring characters who were just as hilarious as Martin Payne. They include Sheneneh Jenkins (the fabulous next-door neighbor who does not like Gina and Pam), Mama Payne (Martin's mom, who is not fond of Gina), Otis (the old, inappropriate, and grouchy security guard), Jerome (the funky fresh old school player), Roscoe (the runny-nosed kid), and more.
