Dorian Wilson: ''I will be Professor Oglevee until I die.''

CBS Television Distribution

Dorian Wilson didn't need a degree to be called a Professor because The Parkers already gave him that credential. The late '90s and early '00s sitcom was a spinoff of Moesha, starring Countess Vaughn and Mo'Nique as Kim and Nikki Parker. While the mother-daughter duo embarked on a new journey, college, one person caught Nikki's eye before she even stepped into a classroom: Stanley Oglevee.

He was her Denzel Washington, or in today's pop culture terms, her Aaron Pierre. No one was stopping Nikki from seeing her "boo," not even his girlfriends, dates, mom...you name it!

Because the show became a classic, viewers will always see Dorian Wilson as Professor Oglevee. He came to terms with this, and unlike other actors who get annoyed with being forever connected to a popular role, he embraces it.

"I will be Professor Oglevee until I die. And if I don't hear 'HEY, PROFESSOR OGLEVEE,' at least fifty times a day, it's a bad day," he said during an interview with Radio One Digital. The actor smiled while talking about the series, and you could tell he still genuinely loved being a part of the show.

He continued, "I still talk to all of them [The Parkers cast]. Literally, we were like family, and I mean, we still are."
