Everyone's favorite Robin, Burt Ward, made a special appearance on Living Single
When a movie star loses their wallet in a cab, wouldn't you expect them to send their assistant to receive it from a fan who found it? Realistically, there's a bunch of other stuff that would happen in this situation, but in the world of fictional television, imagination can run wild—and so can plots.
In the Living Single episode "Mommy Not Dearest," Khadijah finds Dean Cain's wallet and will not release it to anyone but him. However, a special classic actor visits her apartment, and you won't believe who it is (unless you have seen the episode, ha). Burt Ward is sent to retrieve the wallet, and his interaction with Khadijah, Synclaire, and Overton is funny and wholesome.
To introduce himself, he says, "Hi, I'm looking for Khadijah James. That's right, it's me, Burt Ward, TV's Robin." Many fans of the 1966 Batman series know that the actor was typecast after playing Adam West's sidekick. He couldn't find roles without people seeing him as Robin, so of course, Living Single writers had to include this in the script.
Overton says, "Wow, Batman's partner in crime, Boy Wonder's in the house!" Ward says that the "people" at Warner Bros told him that Khadijah wanted to meet a television superhero, so they sent him to retrieve the wallet. Synclaire wants him to do a "Holy Cape Crusader," and Overton brings up an episode where Catwoman captured him.
This goes on for a little minute before Khadijah says no one is getting the wallet but Dean, and then Ward goes on a hilarious mini rant about how Robin is better. This is all happening while Max's mom comes for a visit and says she wants to have a closer relationship with her daughter.
