Name a fictional group more iconic than Freestyle Unity

CBS Television Distribution

Let's be honest; Freestyle Unity would've topped the Billboard charts if they were a real group. Kim, T, and Stevie formed one of the most memorable TV groups without releasing full singles and show albums. Played by Countess Vaughn, Ken Lawson, and Jenna von Oÿ, Freestyle Unity added a very much-needed musical presence to The Parkers.

The three met while picking classes at Santa Monica College. Kim was a former member of CPQ (Campbell, Parker, and Quentin) on Moesha, but when the character got a spin-off show, she formed Freestyle Unity with her college friends. Their strong bond and shared passion for music led them to perform at almost every event at Santa Monica College and other places.

Despite the challenges, their determination never wavered. Their goal was always to get exposure and eventually snag a record deal. While they were close many times, it failed to happen. If Dabl were a record company, we'd sign them. Freestyle Unity had hits on the show, such as "Picture Me Just Falling," "You're All I Need In My Life," "Pretty Young Thing," and "How Hard."

With Kim as the lead singer, you can guess that they also had humorous songs, such as "Momma Killed Him," which they sang at T-Bone the Clown's funeral after Nikki accidentally made him fall off of her balcony.
