Where are they now? The cast of The Parkers
While it's a spin-off of Moesha, The Parkers took on a unique storyline that made it a classic '90s and early '00s show in its own right. Starring Countess Vaughn and Mo'Nique as Kim and Nikki Parker, the sitcom followed the mother-daughter duo as they faced the challenges of college life, all in a way that was both hilarious and relatable (except the stalking part).
The show wouldn't be complete without Professor Oglevee, Andell, Stevie, and T, with occasional appearances from recurring characters like Regina, Woody, and more. While nostalgic reruns can be watched every day on Dabl, let's take a look at where the main cast has been up to today.
Mo'Nique (Nikki Parker)
Everyone knows and loves Mo'Nique. The Academy Award-winning actress and comedian has been busy since she stepped onto the scene. She has starred in movies such as Beauty Shop, Precious, and Almost Christmas. In terms of shows, she appeared on The Hughleys, The Bernie Mac Show, Girlfriends, and The Game.
Most recent credit: Starred as Cynthia Henry in The Deliverance
Countess Vaughn (Kim Parker)
She could sing. She had style. She was one of the original '90s IT Girls on television. Countess Vaughn had it all and deserved to play a main or recurring character on TV nonstop. After The Parkers, she appeared in two movies, Trippin' and Max Keeble's Big Move, and on TV in shows like Celebrity Fit Club, Cuts, Let's Stay Together, and Hollywood Divas.
Most recent credit: a 2023 appearance in Prime Video's Harlem as herself.
Yvette Wilson (Andell)
Yvette Wilson was one of the funniest comedians and actresses. She passed away on June 14, 2012, but her legacy will always be celebrated. She was part of the main cast (or could be seen) in several popular Black TV and film productions, including Friday, Poetic Justice, House Party 3, Don't Be a Menace, Thea, and Moesha.
Dorien Wilson (Professor Stanley Oglevee)
Dorien Wilson knows he'll always be Professor Oglevee, but that isn't stopping him from getting "to the bag." Back in the day, he appeared on Sister, Sister, The Steve Harvey Show, The Rich & the Ruthless, and more.
Most recent credit: Starred as Jay Weaver on the sitcom In The Cut (ended in 2021)
Ken Lawson (Thaddeus "T" Radcliffe, Jr.)
Ken Lawson was the musical mastermind of Freestyle Unity as his character T on The Parkers, and he's also a rapper in real life. Over the years, he appeared on Smart Guy, The Proud Family, and other shows and short films. He also starred as Kenny Clark in In The Cut with Dorien Wilson, a Parkers reunion for fans.
Most recent credit: Officer Driver on Tyler Perry's The Oval (2023 to now)
Stevie Van Lowe (Jenna von Oÿ)
Before she became Kim Parker's college best friend, Jenna von Oÿ was known as Six Lemeure on the sitcom Blossom. She also made appearances on Tales from the Darkside, Kate & Allie, Chicago Hope, and Martin.
Most recent credit: An appearance on Call Me Kat as herself in 2022.
