Garcelle Beauvais named 2025 Changemaker by Parade

Warner Bros.

Garcelle Beauvais may portray fictional characters on television, but there's nothing fake about her dedication to helping others. On February 21, Parade announced that the philanthropist and reality TV star is its first honoree in its new Changemakers 2025 franchise.

According to Business Wire, Changemakers 2025 spotlights celebrities, advocates, and influencers who actively work to bring solutions to some of the most pressing issues. Parade's Editorial Board will reveal more honorees throughout the year.

In 2023, Beauvais partnered with The Kellogg Foundation on Pockets of Hope, a campaign to help provide economic opportunities and expand access to healthcare in Haiti, her home country.

"Living in Haiti really shaped me into who I am because we really didn't have a lot," she shared with Parade. "My roots grounded me into who I've become in terms of wanting to give back [and] in terms of being so grateful to be where I am. I think if everybody does just a little bit, it will change the world."

She continued, "I think it's our responsibility as human beings to step up when needed," Beauvais says. "And I think that's what a Changemaker does."
