Octavia Spencer made a hilarious appearance on this episode of Moesha

In the horror film Ma, Octavia Spencer says the tagline, "Don't make me drink alone." She wants to be seen as the cool adult who lets teenagers do what their parents won't let them. *Spoiler alert: It turns out she's just befriending the children of her high school classmates who bullied her, and well, things get ugly.
The 2019 film was an entirely different project than what Spencer fans are used to. However, that's exactly what she wanted; it showcased her versatility and was a gentle reminder that Spencer is more than the "maid" character she's most known for. Ma reminds us of a time when Spencer appeared in a Moesha episode.
While she's not befriending teens in this episode, the small appearance she does make is just as iconic. In the episode "Teacher," Moesha decides it's perfectly fine to have an inappropriate interaction with her new photography teacher. (We're not putting all the blame on her; that was also very creepy of the teacher.)
Before that disturbing plot plays out, we see a crowd of people in the Mitchell's house. Octavia's character, Gloria, follows Dee to the kitchen and says, "Woo, Dee, girl, this is such a lovely house. I once lived in a place like this, and then my husband got laid off. And I was gonna stick by 'em too, but then I caught him with his ex-secretary. Woo, girl, these pantyhose. Do you ever wear control tops? Have you ever noticed after four hours, they lose all control?"
She continued while Dee's facial expression screamed, "Please stop talking." Once Frank and Myles entered the room to announce to Dee that they were leaving, Dee said, "Everyone, I want to introduce you to my husband, Frank, and our son, Myles." That's when Gloria said, "Well, hello Frankie." Now, everyone wonders how they know each other, especially enough for her to address him as "Frankie."
It turns out Gloria and Frank had a fling before he met Dee. In her words, "You used to call me Gloria...when you used to call."
