Living Single viewers helped Morris Chestnut's character choose between Max, Regine and Khadijah

Warner Bros.

Three friends, all vying for the same guy... a recipe for drama. Max, Regine, and Khadijah compete for attention when a new, good-looking guy enters the building.

In the episode "Mystery Date," while Overton and Synclaire are going through their own lovey-dovey issues, the girls are trying to get action in their lives. Morris Chestnut guest stars in this episode as Hamilton Brown, who lives upstairs. At first, the friends agreed they wouldn't pursue Hamilton because they all had eyes for him.

However, when egos interfere, and everyone starts to believe that the other girls did not compete in the first place, a full-blown competition starts. Max, the ambitious lawyer, has a conversation with Hamilton about law stuff, which interests him. Regine, the diva, lures him in with a home-cooked meal, while Khadijah, the sporty and cool journalist, catches his attention with a game of basketball in the hallway of their building.

At a party, Kyle and Overton explain to Hamilton that he has to choose. He needed help, and viewers got the opportunity to chime in. They were asked to vote on which Living Single character they thought deserved to date Hamilton. And they chose Khadijah!

Yet, this wasn't the fairy-tale ending the chosen woman had hoped for. Hamilton, it turned out, wasn't the man she thought he was. On a date with Khadijah, instead of a kiss, he asked for her share of the bill!

In a hilarious turn of events, Khadijah turns to the camera and says, "Y'all did this to me. I thought y'all were my peeps!"
